Oraltek

Oraltek is an immunotherapy drug indicated for adults, children aged five and above, and adolescents. It targets allergic respiratory diseases triggered by clinically relevant allergens, as confirmed through skin prick tests or specific IgE testing.

Main ingredients of the drug: natural allergen extract; Dog dander.

Therapeutic mechanism: The mechanism of action of specific immunotherapy remains incompletely understood. To achieve efficacy and generate immune responses, dendritic cells (DCs) within the oral mucosa must actively take up the allergen extracts. These cells play a critical role in initiating specific immune responses. Fundamentally, allergen-specific immunotherapy functions by inducing regulatory T (Treg) cells to curb excessive Th cell activity during the allergic patient's immune response.
